If I had to guess id say that they have at least 50 loops that you can load the drive, from simple guitar licks, to 808 drum machine, to the funky bass, with percussion, and how long have they for you Perhaps the best thing is that the effects button when you press it it lights up blue and makes the sound change, depending on the effect you have selected, from a couple of delays, flanger, distortion, very cool. If you like music, you will have fun with uCreate.
The Portal of the sounds could not be easier to use, and when you use a good set of headphones, you hear really low! you can send your samples and songs very easy, and the songs can be pasted in media player and burned. im hoping that will give us more laps in the future, as the sampler is not as good quality as the loops. Truth is, put this thing in better housing, custom loops to allow the transfer, and a few more inputs and outputs (RCA, 1 / 4, MIDI) and this thing could make a serious music.
but for what it is, and the age range is intended, you could not ask for anything more. I've said it many times, but never meant this much, if only they had that when I was A KID!

Ucreate Music Toys
uCreate Music is a toy that gives you the opportunity to make their own music and beats. This toy has many funky controls that together the different sectors. In the lower right is a control panel that has multiple hits back, riffs, links and flows that you can add or take along to the music. Next to that is the rock distortion that distorts the song as it is written. press "hold" and repeating the distortion, repetition and sound keeps going without you to press the buttons. You can also control the BPM (beats per minute), pushing the ""+"" or ""-"" signal to the fast track or slow. Due to the small microphone at the top you can record your own voice tune. Once you're done with the music you can play it again and again. An iPod can be connected to the toy uCreate music and the songs on it can be changed at will. With all these controls the amount of different tracks you can create are almost limitless.
Even though I had fun making my own songs, it was difficult to find even the basics. I'm still only able to make songs pretty basic. I turned on my iPod and played music through uCreate but could not write as I changed the songs. I also had a difficult time writing my own voice. You can record for up to 5 seconds. I thought I was recording, but when I tried to play, I never heard my own voice. Perhaps with a little practice, the more I'll get the hang of it. I really do not know what I was doing, but it was still fun and I really did some tracks. I would recommend this toy for ages 10 and older, because you need to be able to read well and have patience to learn to use it.
UCreate Music is made by Mattel and is to use a player, but can be enjoyed by more than one person. It can be found at www.amazon.com and www.target.com and sold for about $ 35. I turned on my iPod and played music through uCreate but could not write as I changed the songs. I also had a difficult time writing my own voice. You can record for up to 5 seconds. I thought I was recording, but when I tried to play, I never heard my own voice. Perhaps with a little practice, the more I'll get the hang of it. I really do not know what I was doing, but it was still fun and I really did some tracks. I would recommend this toy for ages 10 and older, because you need to be able to read well and have patience to learn to use it.
UCreate Music is made by Mattel and is to use a player, but can be enjoyed by more than one person. It can be found at www.amazon.com and www.target.com and sold for about $ 35. UCreate Music comes with 4 AA batteries. This device connects to the computer via a USB cable that is supplied when you buy the toy. I'm a guitar player, and I got this after seeing media coverage on this ESC. There is so much to this product, from mixing loops that are on the device, the sampling of iPod, download new channels from the web, changing the loops in real time with the joystick using various built-in effects, record all execution of a song for playback as a sequencer (reminds me of playing the automation in a recording console).
The funny thing is how easy it is to use, since all the power under the hood. My 5 and 8 years old, "" Got It "immediately, and had a blast with it. What I did not realize initially is that you can listen to your iPod with it, and use the joystick to effect change the songs in time real. This alone had my children delighted in the last two nights.

uCreate The music is by Mattel as part of its series uCreate (currently two" toys ") that are designed to stretch the minds of children in a modern, artistic and affordable.
She immediately caught my attention, like a Kaos pad for 6 years and costs only $ 30. My immediate thought was "this is the talk and spell in the 21st century, this could be huge." So I brought one - once you get it tonight, I will probably buy one for every child I know for Christmas this year because it is one of the most impressive things I've seen in a long time.
I posted my immediate thought the forums Monome, I ask that here:

You basically have 4 banks (lines) that can contain any of the examples of "manager" of each line stops a game one day, all 4 lines can run at the same time.
Each line can be selected and when the FX comes into play, you choose the flight something like 7 or 8 FX using a dial and when you press the button and move the large FX is applied to all selected tracks with 2d motion ( the low-pass is just awesome lo-fi madness).
There is a manager app, the Mac seems a flash app. It connects online and you have to sign up for an account.
The manager is another hundred samples and you can move any sample anywhere. So in fact instead of having one line for each "type" of instrument, you can fill it with 12 drum samples.
There is no way to add your own sample .... BOOOO!
He said the line is a 5 line example, you can record using a microphone or audio and then you get hit 1 or loop in this sample is 2 A / B you can fill, but you can only play one at a time .
He does not appear in OSX as a unit (expect when I plugged in which he appeared as a CD, but that stopped once I installed the manager.
I'll post the information drive.
The manager has a "store" section, which makes me think it will be very restrictive about allowing anyone to add their own samples.
I have no idea how to cut something like connect the USB cable while, but my wish list would be simple:
- The ability to add their own links to each of the 12 slots.
- The ability to download a song recorded
- Maybe the ability to add future fx

I only have a music uCreate, and I can see a huge market for this device with the production of electronic music. He has the potential to be talking about the magic of the 21 to electronic circuit benders and tinkerers.
I'm curious to know if this is a market that Mattel and Radica considered and whether they will embrace it.
Embracing mean the sharing of information that allow people to come and get down and dirty with the circuitry and or software that manages and runs on uCreate.
On top of my head, I'd love to be able to add my own samples for the 12 positions on the trigger, I see no easy way to do this with the manager. The only options seem to be limited to samples available in the library for download.
I noticed a "store" section, and I could see him as having the ability to add your own samples can limit the potential upsell users to purchase a store sample (in the style of iTunes). If this is the case, I think it's shortsighted, because there will always be a market for younger users or less-who just want the work samples, and the more advanced users who want to be able to perform their own samples specifically .
I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this. I'm hoping a solution can be found if official or not.

I'm really hoping it is based, Mattel or someone realize the potential sales that they have the opportunity to accumulate if they embrace a community that may not want to use this device in the exact form that they have desired. If they somehow open any information that allows 3rd party open source development of tools that can link to this hardware has the potential to become the next big thing that all producers of electronic DJ bring hip-hop leaders must own. Because I think it will be so big? A combination of three things - that makes a lot, and is not very cheap. I own 2 Stylophone. Stylophone sold millions in the last 20 years. It's cheap, has great sound and is tweakable. Geeks (and be honest is that all producers of electronic music is (to quote Moby)) ... geeks like to tweak.
So I'll be adjustments.
I'll break my open as soon as I can find the time and I will post some pictures inside.
I'm also posting the local copies of files lop. And file. Sng I'm guessing that is what is loaded in uCreate when you change the samples using the application manager.
I also have a log file that can contain useful information for someone.
I'm a little lost though. Hacking USB protocols and handshakes and drivers is not something I did, so I'm hoping some sort of community going up around this and then even that Mattel does not see the opportunity that we can try to make it work for us anyway.

Review: uCreate Music
Ok, so there's nothing cooler for a 8-year-old to create their own dance music? Well, video games are great, but playing the music loudly uCreate ranks with my testers.

Mattel has created an electronic soundboard mix for 8 + crowd. The Music uCreate allows DJs young backbeats layer, riffs, licks and runs along with mp3 samples to create a unique composition in all its (and, yes, these terms are defined music in the instruction manual for those of us who do not automatically know what they are).
Aspiring DJs can build their compositions starting with three different options Backbeats, riffs, licks and runs, connecting them all that creates the sound they want. They can then refine their compositions, adding effects and filters. A built-in microphone allows children to add a voice or sound recording which can then mix in his music. As if that were not enough, the whole system can be connected to a computer and children can add samples of your own MP3s and other files from the Web site uCreate Music.

I left several "children" aged 7-40 playing with the musical uCreate. The unanimous verdict was definitely positive. In fact, one tester couple walked around the house every day for two days playing his compositions everywhere he went. The constant dance beat almost took his mother nuts, but sure, the musical uCreate not accept headphones (not included).
Only turning the musical about uCreate and pressing buttons, my testers were able to create fun and exciting dance music. It was easy to experiment with different sounds and distortion, but the favorite feature was the internal microphone. The children would write a phrase, embed it in their songs, and then accelerate it or slow it down, all the while laughing hysterically. One thing to note is that the storage capacity of music uCreate is not huge, but it is enough to record a 2 minute and 30 second song. Here is an example of what you can do - Music uCreate example.
Along with the hardware, Mattel includes a software with the device to connect to your website, where young DJs can download software that contains additional sounds and send your music files. And if this sounds confusing, it is. It took some figuring I finally get the Music Mixer software installed, and when I did not think it was all user friendly. In fact, you can not create a song using the software, although this is not readily apparent when you look at the interface. Not to mention, there are still some buttons that do not have any content. After watching testers and using music uCreate me, I can safely say that when anyone can have fun with this toy, a true music lover could use the musical uCreate to its full potential. There are several levels of complexity than your average 8-year-old would not be able to use, but do not give children room to grow with uCreate Music, which is good. Our main complaint is the desktop software is confusing and not kid-friendly. That said, it was really fun just to mess with the music and create our own Dance Party USA. And while it is targeted to the 8 + crowd, even small children can have fun mashing the buttons to "create" music. With an MSRP about $ 30, it's a good price for the entertainment and creative outlet it provides.

Mattel has created an electronic soundboard mix for 8 + crowd. The Music uCreate allows DJs young backbeats layer, riffs, licks and runs along with mp3 samples to create a unique composition in all its (and, yes, these terms are defined music in the instruction manual for those of us who do not automatically know what they are).
Aspiring DJs can build their compositions starting with three different options Backbeats, riffs, licks and runs, connecting them all that creates the sound they want. They can then refine their compositions, adding effects and filters. A built-in microphone allows children to add a voice or sound recording which can then mix in his music. As if that were not enough, the whole system can be connected to a computer and children can add samples of your own MP3s and other files from the Web site uCreate Music.

I left several "children" aged 7-40 playing with the musical uCreate. The unanimous verdict was definitely positive. In fact, one tester couple walked around the house every day for two days playing his compositions everywhere he went. The constant dance beat almost took his mother nuts, but sure, the musical uCreate not accept headphones (not included).
Only turning the musical about uCreate and pressing buttons, my testers were able to create fun and exciting dance music. It was easy to experiment with different sounds and distortion, but the favorite feature was the internal microphone. The children would write a phrase, embed it in their songs, and then accelerate it or slow it down, all the while laughing hysterically. One thing to note is that the storage capacity of music uCreate is not huge, but it is enough to record a 2 minute and 30 second song. Here is an example of what you can do - Music uCreate example.
Along with the hardware, Mattel includes a software with the device to connect to your website, where young DJs can download software that contains additional sounds and send your music files. And if this sounds confusing, it is. It took some figuring I finally get the Music Mixer software installed, and when I did not think it was all user friendly. In fact, you can not create a song using the software, although this is not readily apparent when you look at the interface. Not to mention, there are still some buttons that do not have any content.
